3 Months

Wow where does time go? Three months ago today, my little Owen Bradford Robbins entered the world with a bang! Literally it was an eventful birth! We have enjoyed every minute we have had with him. He is a great addition to our not so little family. Some fun things about Owen:

*He loves to eat - So much that he doesn't even after polishing off a 6 oz bottle he wants more!

*He is still sleeping through the night about 7-9 hours depending on if his brother or sister wake him up

*He is full of smiles and I think he is on the verge of a giggle. He smiles so big it takes up half of his face. His blessing picture doesn't even compare to the biggest smile I have seen.



*We think he is close to 13 lbs if not heavier because of his love of food

*He coos and talks more and more every day. He makes sure his presence is known.

We love our little man and can't wait to see what else he has in store for us.

Labor Day at the Zoo

Today we took Bridger, Macie and Owen to the Zoo. Owen could care less about what was going on, he pretty much slept the whole time. I had him in the Moby wrap so that could have had something to do with it. When we go to the zoo we like to go early because the animals are so active. Today wasn't any different and with it being a cooler day they were out and about. The Zoo wasn't too crowded until around noon, but there were still quite a few people there today. When we left people were parking down the street. Another reason to go right when the zoo opens.



The owl the zoo keeper is holding is full grown but so little. Bridger loves it when the birds are out with the zoo keepers.



Baby Zuri is one of Macie's favorite animals to see. It is also grandma's and mom's favorite. She is so cute and playful!

Bridger posing for the camera, I never have to ask him twice to smile. He is getting so big, he walked the entire zoo today with out someone having to carry him or without the wagon.



The Rhino's were close to the window today. Bridger use to be scared of them but we told him they just wanted a kiss and now when he sees them he laughs about it.

... so dad had to hold her up there so we could get a family picture taken.



The tortoise's were even out and about and not hiding in their shells. He popped his head out to say hello while we were there.



The crocodile's were out basking in the sun, perfect day for basking.



I love going early in the day because the tigers are so active in the morning. We made it for their feeding. All four were actively looking for their meat and bone. It was cool.



The kids were happy even when we left. We ended the day on the train.
The maps were enough for them today, they didn't even ask for anything at the gift shop.

Bridger said it was a good day to spend his first holiday away from school (he loves it so much he told us Friday he wasn't looking forward to the holiday and he would rather go to school.)

TWO MONTHS

Wow where has the time gone! My little man is two months which means I have one more week of maternity leave. Now that I have adjusted to being home with the three little ones, it is time to go back. I will miss them. Now some fun facts about Owen:

*He is now smiling and smiles at his mommy the most. On occasion he will smile at Macie when he is not pretending to sleep to avoid her attention

* He calms down best for me which makes me happy because the other two are currently going though a Dad has to do everything for me stage

*He still loves the fan and will stare at it when it is not on. Then we turn it on and he is full of grins and kicks his legs like there is no tomorrow

*He still has his fire red hair which I am absolutely in love with

*He weighs 10 lbs 13 oz

*He is 22 inches long

*Today at the doctors he was amused with the sound the paper on the exam table and kicked his legs and grabbed at the paper to hear it make noise. He was full of more smiles

*He loves to eat like every hour during the day (if you think I am exaggerating ask my mom)

* He has been sleeping 7-8 hours per night for the past two weeks but won't take a solid nap during the day, just tiny 15 - 20 minute cat naps

My cousin Lisa told me about baby leg warmers, these are his soccer ones. He has a pair that turns his little legs in to footballs too. I wish I had them yesterday when he was wearing the Utah gear, he would have been ready for game day!

Go Utes

Last night the Utes had their home opener and opening game of the season. Brad and I so look forward to Utah Ute football season. For six games we get to spend some alone time enjoying something we both enjoy FOOTBALL! I love it and I can't wait to watch my Utes and Chargers this season, the Utes in person while at home and the Chargers on TV. Also during this time I look forward to the Utah Utes Women's football clinic. This year I am excited as I recruited three people to go with me. Liz my sister in-law went with me the first year but missed last year because of school. My friend Jen went with me last year and excited to go again. My friend Nikki will be coming for her first time. I can't wait to have a few nights out with the girls.

Glitter Toes

This past Tuesday I decided to take Macie with me to get glitter toes done at my cousin's salon. Her apprentice has a two year old and she has done glitter toes on her, so I thought we would give it a try. Macie has been needless to say acting out since Owen was born, I think she needed some one on one time with her mommy. We had a blast. She was so good and did everything she was told to do, including holding still which for her is awesome. Here are pictures of the finished product:

First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Bridger's first day of Kindergarten. We woke up early and he was very excited to go to school today. He has been asking me daily how many days he had until he started Kindergarten. He was "Super, Super, Super, Super Excited."

Also he was excited to wear his new Sketchers with the Z strap. He has been quoting the commercial to us for months now. We bought his shoes back in May. I parked my car on a side street so I could walk him to his class. As we were walking down the street he was practically skipping. He was so happy and there I was ready to burst in to tears. I think it was worse considering the hormones from Owen that I still have.

We got to the playground and he sped off to try it out. We went to his classroom and after allot of pictures, I left my little boy there to start his many years of school he has ahead. Macie was sad she wanted to stay with Bridger and go to Kindergarten. So after fighting her to get back to the car, I strapped her in and went to turn the key and NOTHING. I was thinking are you serious? Well my battery died. I called roadside assistance and they came an hour and half later and jumped my car. I drove to my grandma's (Bridger's school is near her house as he will be babysat up there when I go back to work) dropped my mom off and drove back to pick up Bridger.

He had so much fun. I was excited about recess of course but about the picture he got to draw of his summer vacation. He drew the cabins up in Idaho. He also drew his friends that he made today so I could see what they look like. His other favorite part was a girl in his class was celebrating her Birthday today and he got a cupcake. He loved it and can't wait to go back.

I know people probably say this allot but it really does feel like I have him birth yesterday and I just brought this cute little bundle of joy home from the hospital. We have enjoyed the last five years with this little boy and can't wait to see how he does in school. He has grown into a sweet little boy. I love him so much. he is the peace maker in our family (except when he is causing the up roar).

Sleep, Naps, and Two Year Olds

Owen has been sleeping really well at night. For the past week or so he has slept 7 or more hours. This has been nice, but I hope he doesn't decide to revert back when I go back to work in a few weeks. Since he has been sleeping so well at night, it seems like he isn't napping during the day, so I have a hard time getting laundry, dishes, etc done. When he is awake he wants to be near me (in my arms) or he fusses. I thought at first that he might sense I am going back to work soon, but that thought changed today. I got him to sleep and went to put in a load of dishes, when I came back in the living room my two year old was trying to give him his pacifier even though he was a sleep. He woke up and started crying.

Bridger was so good with Macie so I didn't have to worry about naps, she still napped, but she doesn't want him to sleep and likes to wake him up. When I ask her why she woke him up she tells me that "him don't want to take a nap" I really want him to nap longer but at the same time I want him to continue to sleep through the night. I am not sure which is better.

I think he wants to be in my arms to get away from her. She is so rough with him lately. I try not to get too mad at her because I don't want her to resent the baby. Two year old girls are rough and I can't wait until she grows out of her attitude. My parents tell me that I never did grow out of mine (I hope they are teasing). I guess we will see.
