Last night we set up Macie's big girl bed and moved her out of the crib. Owen is still in the cradle my dad made me when Bridger was born, and I want to get use out of it since Owen will be the last baby to use it for awhile, but he will need the crib eventually.
She was so excited and wanted to help her dad put it together. It is my day bed and it has been in our basement. Brad reminded me yet again how much he hates taking it apart and putting it back together. I reminded him that it would be awhile before he had to do it again. We started out the bed party by going and letting Macie pick out a new pillow and bedsheets. She picked Tinkerbell of course and was excited to put those sheets on her bed. Once the bed was ready she was so excited. She climbed in and said good night. Too good to be true, yes, after about five minutes she was in and out of her bed. She had to give everyone hugs and kisses, wanted to pick up the few toys on her floor, decided jumping on the bed was fun, and took off the top sheet and put it back on like five times.
She loves her new bed. To get her to stay her dad told her to jump onto her new pillow and fall fast asleep. She took him literal and jumped on her pillow, jumped up and down that is. Oh two year old's are fun.
She made it all night in her bed, no problems adjusting. She came out this morning and said I fell out of bed and got hurt. When we asked her where she was hurt, she said follow me I will show you and she showed us exactly where she fell, not where she was hurt. She is so cute and we hope that her excitement will last a little longer and maybe she can some day soon share the same excitement with using the potty!
